Noyes, One of early pioneers answers final call Sutter City, July 1 - Mrs Isabelle Noyes, wife of E. A. Noyes passed away at her home one mile west of here last night at 10:10 o'clock after a short illness. Mrs. Noyes was a native of Ohio and was aged 71 years. Mrs Noyes arrived in this country in 1858, coming here with her parents, the late Captain and Mrs Thomas Dean. Captain Dean was one of the most prominent of the early day residents of the county and his family has always taken a leading part in community affairs. Mrs Noyes took a leading part in the life of the community ad the county and has made friendships far and wide due to her kindly mature and lovable ways. her passing will be mourned by hundreds throughout the county. Mrs Noyes is survived by her husband, E. A. Noyes, one son, Charles A Noyes, four daughters, Mrs Bernice E. Hill, Mrs Myrtle Haynes, Mrs Abbie Vagedes and Mrs Edna B Meyers, all residing in this county. She is survived by a brother, Edward Dean and three sisters, Mrs J. K. Prime, Sites, Colusa Co; Mrs J. D. Stewart, Live Oak and Mrs Elizabeth Strang, Piedmont. Funeral services will be conducted at the Lipp & Sullivan Chapel at 10 o'clock Friday Morning with Rev. Benjamin F Butts officiating. Interment will be made in the Sutter Cemetery
