C. W. McPherrin Succumbs at 87
Chesney Warner McPherrin, 87, lifelong area resident died early today in Fremont 
hospital. Born in Sutter, he was the son of John and Caroline Stevens McPherrin, 
early Sutter County residents. He had retired from farming and at the time of his 
death made his home at 1099 market St., Yuba City. Survivors include his wife, 
Olive whom he married in 1903, two daughters, Mrs Phyllis Castle and Alexine 
McPherrin, both of Jackson; and one grandson, Douglas Bailey of Live Oak. Private
funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm at Ullrey Memorial Chapel 
with Rev. Ortiz W. Weniger, pastor of the Yuba City First Baptist Church, officiating. 
Burial will be in the Yuba City Cemetery.
