Garmire, 67, will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Mr. Garmire died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1997, in Fairfield from Lou Gehrig's disease. A native of Stockton, he lived in Fairfield the past 42 years. He served in the U. S. Navy and 34 years was a educator in the Fairfield-Suisun and a partner in Argo Book Finders, Memberships included the Knights of Columbus, Phi Delta Kappa, Fairfield Teachers and Solano County School Administrators Associations. Mr. Garmire was a avid fan and collector of jazz records, books and plates. Survivors include his wife, Gael Garmire of Fairfield; a daughter, Teresa Zakareckis of Michigan; sons, Brian Garmire of Napa and Christopher Garmire of Sacramento; brother, Fred Garmire of Eagle Point, Ore.; and eight grandchildren.
