Modesto Bee, November 23, 1973 Descendant of Literary Figures Dies A service for Everett Longfellow Wadsworth, 84, a resident of Modesto several years who was a descendant of H. W. Longfellow, William Wadsworth and John Alden, will be held Sunday in the Modesto Unity Church. His remains will be scattered at sea. The Franklin & Downs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Sutter County, he died Tuesday in a local rest home following a long illness. He was a retired real estate salesman and appraiser. Survivors are his widow, Oma Mae Wadsworth; a daughter, Mae Oma Franzen of Modesto; a son-in-law, Gustav Franzen of Modesto; a brother-in-law, Elmer A Cox of Oakland, and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
