"Big Bear Grizzly"; Date Unknown

Larry Gates, 62, passed January 4, 2005, at Loma Linda Medical Center of liver 
cancer. Born in Glendale, Calif., Larry loved to ski and was a fisherman 
extraordinaire. A 12- year resident of Big Bear Lake, Larry was the owner of 
Odyssey Charter and prior owner of Big Bear Taxi. He is survived by his wife of 
26 years, Beth Gates of Big Bear Lake; sister Jan Gates of Mesa, Ariz.; brother 
Dan Gates of Tucscon, Ariz.; five children, Val Hughes of Grand Rapids, 
Michigan, Karen Ralston of Chesapeake, Virginia, Brian Murray of Marysville, 
Ohio, Tim Murray of Anthem, Ariz., Kelle Barrette of Big Bear City and eight 
grandchildren.
