Daily Press, Hesperia Star & Desert Dispatch; 2/12/2008 Peggy Lou Fralix passed away Jan. 23, 2008, at home in Apple Valley surrounded by her family, after a brief illness. Peggy was born March 9, 1944, in Los Angeles. She was a resident of the High Desert for 35 years. She worked as a waitress at the Apple Valley Inn from 1974 until it closed in 1987. Peggy retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 19 years of service, working in Newberry Springs and later in Adelanto, as a clerk. She served as chief shop steward for the American Postal Workers Union. Peggy was devoted to her family and friends. She loved people, and always looked for the good in everyone. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bob, in their RV, boating in San Diego, and especially fishing. Peggy was Vice Commodore of the Mojave River Yacht Club. She is survived by her husband, Robert Fralix; children Paula Cromwell and her husband, Mark, of Maumee, Ohio, Darin Weldon and his wife, Amber, of Vancouver, Wash.; Barbara Gollubier, of Flagstaff, Ariz., Daniel Mitchell and his wife, Lori, and Debra Ribblett and her husband, Jace, of Seymour, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; mother, Luella Pierce; and brother Gary Martin, and his wife, Sherie. We would like to thank the staff of the Visiting Nurse Association for their help and support. There will be no services. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery, in Riverside
