All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Redlands Daily Facts; 03/11/2008 Ann Fairbanks, an 86-year resident of Redlands, died March 9 in Redlands, following an illness. She was 91. She was born Anna Elizabeth Kramer on March 27, 1916, in Chicago and came to Redlands when she was a child. She graduated from Redlands High School in 1934 and married Stan Fairbanks in 1935. She had three brothers, Henry Kramer, Charles Kramer and Thomas Kramer, and a sister, Freda Rathgeber. The Kramer family started a business in Redlands, Kramer's Furniture and Appliance Refinishing, that is still operated by the family. She was an avid golfer and a former member of the Redlands Country Club and the club's women's golf team. Her husband died in 1993 and her daughter Jeanne Pittenger in 1996. Survivors include her daughter Ruth Tracer of Redlands; her son Don Fairbanks of Yucaipa; her grandson Ed Bellamy of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three great-grandchildren; and longtime friend Ray Roheim. Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, followed by graveside services at 2 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Park.
