Born April 19, 1929 in Calexico, Calif., Alec lived in Big Bear Lake, worked for and retired from the Golden State Water Co. (formerly So. Cal. Water Co.) after 28 years before moving to Hemet, Calif. Alec served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning a Purple Heart and a Silver Star. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia; daughter, Daroldine Robertson of Grand Prarie, Texas; two stepchildren, Linda Heilman of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert Heilman of Lucerne Valley, Calif.; brother Charles Elliott of Yuba City; sisters, Norma Kirton of Yucca Valley, Jerry Roses of Palos Verde, Rosie Kirton of Mojave Valley, Ariz., Sis Sizemore of Torrance, and Betty Myers of Patagonia, Ariz.; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A memorial celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
