Dyrness, 94, passed away Feb. 29, 2008, in Victorville of throat cancer. She was born Jan. 5, 1914. She was a 17-year resident of Victorville. Originally from Eddy County, N.D., she had lived in California for 30 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, the California Altar Society, Holy Innocents Church, Eagles Auxiliary in North Dakota, and Royal Neighbors. She is survived by her sons Roland (Patty) of Burbank, Leonard, Jr. (Susie) of Silver Lakes, James of Glendale, Donald of Victorville, John (Katherine) of Burbank, Ralph (Jean) of Valley City; and daughters, Lauretta (Bill) Babineau of Victorville, and Leona Fox of Palisades. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Sr.; sons, Raymond, Rudolph, and Timothy; daughter-in-law Connie Dyrness; and grandson Bill Dyrness. Myrtle had 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. at Desert View Funeral Home, 11478 Amargosa Road in Victorville. Mass and services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, 12230 El Evado Roadin in Victorville. Burial will be at Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Road in Victorville. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity. Desert View Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
