Daily Press, San Bernardino, Wednesday, June 14, 2006 Leonard Alfred Carter Sr., 63, passed away from natural causes on June 9, 2006, at St. Bernardine Hospital. Born on May 14, 1943, in Bradduck, Pa., Leonard resided in Hesperia for four years out of the 44 he lived in California. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Leonard was formerly employed for the city of Compton Water Department as the production distribution supervisor. He was also involved with the city of ComptonŐs youth program. Leonard is survived by his wife, Christine Carter of Hesperia; sons, Leonard A. Carter Jr. of Texas and Lee Anthony Carter of Hesperia; daughter, Lu-Krissa Carter of Hesperia; sister, Sylvia Burch of Swissvale, Pa.; brother, Sylvester Carter of San Diego; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Desert View Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Desert View Memorial Park, with Brother Ron Bokk officiating. Hall High Desert Mortuary is handling arrangements.
