Arriola, 82, passed away Feb. 22, 2008, at home in Victorville of natural causes. He was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Miami, Ariz. He moved to California in 1942 and lived in Victorville for 28 years. Louis was a trucker by profession. He worked for Hamms Beer/Connelly Trucking for 20 years, Certified Grocers for 17 years and Road Runner Trucking for nine years. A veteran of WWII, he was a gunner's mate on mine sweepers. He is survived by his wife, Cora Arriola of Victorville; daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine and Richard Shields, of San Jose; son and daughter-in-law Don and Kim Arriola, of Victorville; son and daughter-in-law Rene and Peggy Arriola of Ontario; son, Michael Arriola of Victorville; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Nadine Arriola of Victorville; 13 grandchildren, Jessica, Corinne, Joey, Nicholas, Amanda, Kaitlin, Louis, Justin, Bobby, Matthew, Anthony, Samantha and Sarah. A visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m., Feb. 28 at Desert View Funeral Home. The services were held at 10 a.m., Feb. 29 at Desert View Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Cobbs officiated. Burial was at Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa in Victorville. Desert View Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
