All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Mendocino Beacon, November 13, 1969 Vernon Nathan Fales died November 5, 1969 in a hospital at Willits. Born in Branscomb February 12, 1893, he was a rancher and homesteader at Dos Rios and worked in the woods for 30 years before retiring to Willits in 1964. His widow, Annie Lee Fales of Willits; two sons, Vernon and Thomas Fales of Fort Bragg; four daughters; Mrs. Laurie Muns of Sutter City, Esther Jones of Van Nuys, Elaine McClure of Santa Rosa, Mary Ann Tryon of Vacaville; and two brothers, Gerald Fales of Fortuna and James Fales of San Francisco, survived. Another son, Frank Gene Fales, was deceased. The funeral was led by Rev. T. J. Willard in Fort Bragg on the 8th . Burial was at Rose Memorial.
