Willits News & Ukiah Daily Journal, March 5, 2003, Pg 58 Carol Jane Crouch passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at the age of 74 in Reno, Nev. She was born in Klamath Falls, Ore., and moved to California with her family. She and her husband, Bud, lived in Willits for many years, where Bud worked as a house painter. The couple has been married for 57 years, and has resided in Nevada for the past 20 years. Carol enjoyed nature, fishing, gardening, sewing, and loved baking. She was truly a special lady with love in her heart for everyone, and she accepted people the way they were without question. Carol is survived by her husband, Bud Crouch, and by two daughters, Carol Carraher of Bodega Bay and Kathy Gayski of Austin, Texas. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Shirley Wagner, and a brother, Willis Fales, both of Willits, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Minton and Beulah Fales of Willits, and her sister, Arlene Hamilton. Tragically, her only son, Dennis Crouch of Santa Rosa died of a heart attack just two weeks after her passing. A memorial service was held for Carol at her home in Reno.
