Ukiah Daily Journal, June 01/ 02-1994 A funeral for Mervin A Britton, 79, of Covelo, will be 2 pm Friday at the Covelo Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. He died Friday, May 27, 1994 at the family home in Ukiah as the result of natural causes. Mr. Britton was born December 25, 1914 in Covelo. He lived in Mendocino County all of his life and worked for Louisiana-Pacific as a boiler for 18 years. Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Howe of South Dakota, and Muriel McCoy of Ukiah; son, Mervin Britton Jr. of Redwood Valley; three brothers, Armstead Want, Roy Britton and Lester Azbill of Covelo; five sisters, Henrietta Simmons of Prineville, Ore., Virginia Whipple of Sacramento, Linda Medina of San Jose, Barbara Anderson and Erma Hoaglin of Covelo; 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 1 pm today at the Covelo Methodist Church. Burial will be at Nomalacki cemetery in Covelo. Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
