He was a film and television director and writer for over 35 years. His credits included: Directing Motion Pictures for Theatre such as Chosen Survivors, The Loners and How to Steal the World; Motion Pictures for Television such as Satan's Triangle, Snatched and Sweet, Sweet Rachel; Pilot Films such as The P.I. and Stone; Series such as 240-Robert, 77 Sunset Strip, Adventures in Paradise, Airwolf, Baretta, Big Valley, Bonanza, Bronk, Bus Stop , Combat, Felony Squad, Gunsmoke, Harbor Command, Have Gun Will Travel, Hawaii 5-0, Highway Patrol, Hong Kong, Kodiak, Kojak, Lost in Space, Mannix, Men of Annapolis, Mike Hammer, Mission Impossible, Movin' On, Nakia, Name of the Game, Partners in Crime, Philip Marlowe, Rat Patrol, Rawhide, Saints and Sinners, Shades of L.A., Spencer for Hire, Starsky and Hutch, The Cat, The Fugitive, The Invaders, The Magician, The Man From Uncle, The Outsiders, The Sixth Sense, The Young Rebels, Twelve O'Clock High, U.S. Marshal, Vegas and Wagon Train. Mr. Roley Executive Produced Dial 999 which was a TV series shot in England, Produced Target, Associate Produced Series such as Harbor Command, Harbourmaster, Men of Annapolis and Philip Marlowe and was the Story Editor for the Series of Harbor Command, Harbourmaster, Mackenzie's Raiders, Men of Annapolis and Philip Marlowe. Mr. Roley's Live and Tape Credits include:Director of Insight, Kate Smith Show, Lights Out, Macbeth and Tales of Morpheus; Writer of Tales of Morpheus and Lights Out; Associate Director of Dramatic Shows such as Armstrong Circle Theatre, Big Story, Big Town, Cameo Theatre, Campbell Soundstage, Kraft TV Theatre, Lights Out, Robert Montgomery, Presents, The Clock, The Marriage and Treasury Men in Action as well as A.D. of Comedy, Musical and Variety Shows such as All-Star Revue, Arthur Murray Show, Colgate Comedy Hour, Hit Parade, Imogene Coca Show, Jack Carter Show, Judge for Yourself, Kate Smith Hour, Milton Berle Show, Original Amateur Hour, Paul Winchell Show and Victor Borge Show. He is survived by his daughters Elizabeth (Sam) Crockett and Trenace Roley; son Sutton Roley; grandchildren Sutton Calvin and Preston Roley and Mackenzie and Blake Crockett.
