Pasadena Star-News; 3/8/2007 OSGOOD-Mary Anne Daugherty Osgood, 78, died at The Huntington Hospital on Thursday, March 1, 2007 of heart failure. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she graduated from Shortridge High School. She attended Maryland College for Women. A resident since 1949 of Pasadena and later San Marino, she loved her volunteer activities. She was a member of the first docent class trained to guide students and visitors through the Huntington Art Collection and continued volunteering there for many years. As a special docent, she also led tours of the Huntington Library and the Botanical Garde ns. Mary Anne also was active in the Pasadena Junior League, a member of the Costume Council, The Seeders and Weeders Garden Club, the Women's Committee of the Huntington Library, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and The Town Club of Pasadena. An avid world traveler, she was very interested in the arts, particularly English and French 17th, 18th and 19th Century decorative arts. She enjoyed books and music and had extensive libraries in both. She leaves three sons, Scott Osgood, Pasadena, Robert Osgood, Indianapolis, Indiana and John (JT) Osgood, Santa Cruz, California; also her sister, Nancy Smith and niece Anne Crowe, Dallas, Texas, a nephew Cameron Smith, Altadena, California and two grandchildren. Memorial service will be private and burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
