Colusa Sun Herald, Friday, April 9, 1948 JOSEPHINE HOCHSTRAT DIES AT 92 Death came at 5 o'clock this morning in her home at 239 Parkhill Street to Josephine Hochstrat, 92, member of a prominent and early settling Colusa county family. She passed away after a long illness. Miss Hochstrat was born in Missouri, the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Henry Hochstrat, who for years resided on the East Side ranch that is now farmed by Paul R. Westfall. The decedent lived alone at her Parkhill Street home although members of her family visited her frequently. Her sisters had been with her during her last critical illness. Her surviving sisters are Mrs Mary Gauthier and Mrs Antonio Schnitzius of Oakland. Some 40 nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral will be held Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with interment in Colusa Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Brothers. Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Sunday evening in Sullivan Brothers Chapel. It was announced later that services for Miss Hochstrat will be held at 9 am Monday i n Our Lady of Lourdes Church
