Appeal Democrat, Thursday, May 22, 2008 Pg C-2 Dolores Ann Evans, 79, of Colusa died May 19, 2008, at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento. Born in Marysville, she was a lifelong Mid-Valley resident. She was a truck driver for 23 years. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2441 of Colusa, where she was a 25 years member, former president and served as an 18th District musician. In addition, she was a member of the Traveling Bowling League, Stage Hands of Colusa County and a life member of National Home. Survivors include two sons, Lester C. Foster of Colusa and Robert D. Foster of Williams; two daughters, Amy F. Foster of Colusa and Suzette M. McMillan of Sacramento; two sisters, Dorothy Kitchell of Altaville and Margaret Swift of Winnemucca, Nev.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Linza Foster and George Evans; a daughter, Linda A. Benjamin; and a brother, Francis H. Hochstrat. Donations may be made to Colusa Regional Medical Foundation, 199 E. Webster St., Colusa, Ca 95932; or the American Cancer Society, 618 Fifth St., Marysville, Ca 95901. Services: Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McNary-Moore Chapel, 107 Fifth St., Colusa. A funeral service is at 11:30 a.m. May 28, also at the chapel. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colusa.
