Appeared in “THE ARGUS” Newspaper on Monday, October 20, 1997 Nieves Roco Llamas of Fremont died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, She was 92 years old. Born in Manila, Mrs. Llamas lived in Fremont for 15 years, She worked as an opera singer in Manila for 30 years, and taught piano and voice lessons. Mrs. Llamas is survived by her daughters Lourdes Llamas-Suarez of New Orleans; sons Armando Llamas of Manila, Edward Llamas of Fremont and Raymond Llamas of Fremont; sister Consuelo Pimentel of Sydney. Australia; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Llamas was predeceased by her husband Edward G, Llamas in 1949. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Berge-Pappas- Smith Mortuary, 40842 Fremont Blvd., with a vigil at 7 p.m. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, followed by a Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 43148 Mission Blvd., at 11 a.m. The graveside time will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery after the Mass.
