(Please Note: I have capitalized the surnames below so you can more easily read them, but they are not presented that way in the book. Also, in the transcription below, I have placed the names in first, middle, last name order so that these names can be searched. They are arranged in the book as last, first, and middle names. About two-thirds down the list for a number of entries, there are no commas in the book to separate last from first names, but I have continued the formatting below.)

Morals.

It may be well-for the information of strangers-to give an index to the morals of this community. The records of the criminal courts being the most reliable guide to the state of society, we have given space to the following list of convictions for various degrees of crime, for which we are indebted to W. A. HENRY, Under Sheriff.

Arrests and Convictions.

The following arrests and convictions for criminal offenses have been made in Yolo County since the first day of December last:
